IDFC is a finance company created to fund and participate in India’s infrastructure sector, as a lender, advisor, lead book manager or as an equity Partner. It gradually began to participate in non-infrastructure businesses such as an asset management arm and a mutual fund. In 2015 it won a license to starts a bank.
Design
In keeping with its “Growing for India” mandate, its financial performance closely tracks India’s infrastructure sector and thus, its overall growth story. These have led us to portray the tangible assets in which it is involved in a variety of ways, as a token of its abstract financial participation. Across two decades (2003-2015) we have followed the company’s phases, picturing its evolution from an infrastructure focused company to a more generalised player in the financial scene, a journey now in a new phase. Accordingly the cover images have evolved from infrastructure to more abstract themes.
